Fifteens can be used for more than just racing or depleting your finances. Shown below is one rather unusual use. If anyone has any photos of alternative uses for a Fifteen, please send them to me with story.

Fifteens as Wedding Carriage.
Some of you were present at the wedding of Ian Preston and Andrea Preston (ne Kirkpatrick) some time in 2001. Ian has very kindly sent these photos to tell the story. By the way, since they are now proud parents, we can only assume that Fifteens also work as aphrodisiacs. All the action takes place in or around Bassenthwaite:

1. Carriage prepared with keel removed

2. Andrea & Ian ready to embark

3. Embarking over Fifteen

4. Bride off to the church

5. Groom & Best man on way to Church

6. Guests just having a good time

7. Guests rafted up (spot our club members)

8. Carriage & Church (looks like a painting to me)

Sorry if I have re-arranged history. If you were there and know I have got the details wrong, let me know and I will re-order them.
