We are a group of enthusiast
who sail radio controlled model yachts in the club
When
do we sail:
Each Wednesday and Saturday
1:00 - 4:00 pm There is also informal sailing on most
Tuesday and Thursday mornings 10:00 - 12:00, sometimes
later)

Killingworth Lake

is Killingworth Lake:
The lake is in Killingworth
town, roughly 7 miles north east of Newcastle upon Tyne
in the North East of England
What
do we sail:
IOM (International One
Metre) radio controlled yachts, though other model yachts
are welcome
Are
Visitors welcome:
Yes, you just turn up
on the day with your model and join in. If you don't have
a boat yet, come and have a talk to us and we can usually
let you have a trial sail, though you may have to wait
a while if we are in the middle of a race or series of
races

it for adults or children:
Both. Children under
the age of 18 are the responsibility of parents or guardians.
Are
there formal lessons to teach you to sail:
No, but there is almost
always someone prepared to help both with how to set up
your boat, and how to sail itself.
